I’ll admit it, I’ve always wanted a little girl. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE my boys but there’s just something about a little girl and all of the cute and frilly stuff that goes along with little girls that makes me excited about the possibility of someday having one of my own. Even the best boy baby shower themes aren’t quite the same. I do have a couple of darling nieces and thought it would be fun to put together 50 cute AND creative baby shower girl themes for girls from all of the ones I’ve seen! Book Inspired Baby Shower Ideas
I’ll be honest, these are probably my favorites of these baby shower girl themes because I’m a sucker for books. I mean I threw my son a Pajama Time 1st birthday after all. These are some super cute ideas to get you started but if Chicka Chicka Boom Boom isn’t your thing, then just pick up your favorite children’s book and have at it. It doesn’t need to be the most popular choice, just whatever the mom to be will enjoy! If you need some ideas, these are some of the most popular baby shower books! Twinkle Twinkle Little Star – one of the most popular baby shower themes for a baby girl or baby boy! Cinderella Shower – a perfect way to celebrate the incoming little princess! Little Red Riding Hood – this is one of the cutest ways I’ve seen to celebrate the newest little member of the family (okay, or the mom) yet. It’s a fun nursery rhyme turned into a baby shower! Storybook Baby Shower – this is a fun twist on a traditional shower that incorporates favorite children’s books in the decorations! Mary Poppins Baby Shower – if you don’t want to go with a princess theme, Mary Poppins makes a great choice! Velveteen Rabbit – guests will have a hard time not loving this adorable theme based on the classic book! Fairytale Theme – hosting a baby shower is a great excuse to play pretend and this fairytale theme lets you do just that! Everyone’s favorite fairytales come alive in this fun theme! Animal Baby Shower Themes
While the book themed showers may have been my favorites, these are by far the cutest in the group. I mean how can you go wrong with woodland animals or elephants? There’s a reason that woodland baby shower themes have been some of the most popular over the years! We had an elephant baby shower for my little boy to go with his nursery decor, but it’s perfect for little girls as well! And bonus, if they bring these decorations home, they’re guaranteed to have sweet dreams! Woodland Bunny – if hosting a cute baby shower is one of the most important factors, then I’d go with this theme. There’s not much cuter than woodland animals! Foxy Baby – this is a great baby shower theme if you’re looking for bright colors and cute animals! I love the combo of the bright pink, orange, and white together. Raindrops & Unicorns (this unicorn popcorn would be perfect) – the color palette for this theme is just beautiful and that backdrop is insane! Little Birdie – pink takes center stage in the party decor in this fun bird themed shower that’s perfect for any little cutie! Safari Theme – this is a fun gender neutral theme, but I really love it for little girls! Owl Themed – a gorgeous vintage baby shower with a modern twist, this one just feels super elegant woodland animals to me! Little Lamb – white stripes, gold balloons, and lots of sweet touches make rustic baby shower feel modern at the same time. Elephants on Parade – this is one of the more adorable baby shower themes I’ve seen with bright colors, elephants, and modern takes on the classic elephant theme. Woodland Animals – this is one of the most popular baby shower themes for a reason, woodland animals are just cute. Babies are cute. They just go together. Under the Sea Marine Animals – forget the mermaids, this under the sea baby shower is all about the cute marine animals!
Fashion Inspired Girly Shower Themes
I included these because honestly I just think they’re so clever. Amy Atlas talked about using fashion to inspire parties in her book, Sweet Designs, and I’ve always wanted to base a party off of it since. I haven’t but absolutely adore these five fashion inspired baby showers! They’re definitely some of the more girly baby shower themes on this list and some of my favorite baby shower themes! Burberry Inspired – This fun baby shower theme is inspired by the fashion icon Burberry with its iconic colors and designs. Baby Wears Prada – new baby girl will be dressed well after a baby shower with this theme! This would be a super memorable event (and a fun movie!) Pink Tiffany & Co. – soft pink reins supreme in this gorgeous baby shower theme inspired by one of the most iconic stores in the world! Coco Chanel Inspired – this is the perfect baby shower theme for a fashionable mom to be with its stark black and white color scheme with just little pops of pink throughout! Boho Baby Shower – this gorgeous theme is filled with pastel colors, feathers, teepees, and other boho elements. This is definitely a popular one right now!
Clever Saying Inspired Themes for Girls
I’m a sucker for a good pun, which is probably why the last baby shower I hosted was a “love makes the world go round” themed shower, but I think some themes have been overdone. That’s why I put together a list of these girl baby shower themes inspired by clever sayings, some a little more clever than others, but all cute! It gives you a good variety of baby shower themes to choose from! Sprinkled with Love – sprinkles galore in this cute baby shower theme! On donuts, cake pops, the cake, and more! In Full Bloom – this gorgeous floral theme incorporates beautiful flowers and bright colors into a really fun baby shower theme that would be perfect for a summer baby shower! These flower cookies would be a perfect addition to the menu! A Baby Hour – part baby shower, part happy hour – this is the better way to do a third baby shower! Happy Trails – this hiking and trails themed baby shower is great for the adventurous and outdoorsy mom to be! Feather Their Nest – this bird themed baby shower is the perfect theme if you want something colorful, cute, and simple to put together. Love Makes the World Go Round – this is one of my favorite baby shower theme ideas because it’s travel themed, and I love to travel! Plus, you can use the leftover decorations in baby’s nursery! Life is a Gift – this fun baby shower is gift themed and a special way to remind everyone that the little bundle of joy truly is a gift! Sugar & Spice – sugar, spice, and everything nice – that’s what every little girl is made of, and that’s what makes this fun theme unique! Deer Love – if you want to go minimal on the party supplies, this fun baby shower theme is simple to replicate without buying a lot of supplies! Wish Upon a Star – if you’re wishing to find the most creative baby girl baby shower themes, then wish no more. This darling star themed baby shower is both pretty and practical at the same time! Thank Heaven for Little Girls – this heaven themed shower features cake toppers and desserts that are what dreams are made of. Seriously, so cute! Mommy to Bee – is there anything sweeter than a bee theme? The theme works perfect for mommy to be! Bun in the Oven – this classic theme is a fun way to celebrate the newest addition that’s currently cooking in mom to be’s stomach! A fun play on the classic saying. You Are My Sunshine – if you’re looking for sweet baby girl shower themes, stop here. This song inspired theme is as sweet as can be. Beauty in Small Things – the use of small things (baby booties, blocks, toys) as baby shower decorations in this baby shower theme is one of the reasons I love it so much!
Other Unique Baby Shower Themes
And last but not least, five of the cutest baby showers I’ve seen that just didn’t fit into another category. Sometimes everything just doesn’t fit into a square box, and these girly baby showers were those ideas! I think the candy theme one would be really fun, and these baby shower games would be a perfect addition to that theme! Blooming Baby Shower – this fun floral themed baby shower is full of fresh flowers but you could also do something similar with paper flowers that could duplicate as nursery decorations! Ribbons & Ruffles – before ever baby shower had extravagant balloon decor, they had ruffles and ribbons, and I absolutely love this theme for all of the special touches! Halloween baby shower themes – if you really want to be unique, try hosting a Halloween themed baby shower during the spooky season! This post has TONs of great ideas. Candy Theme – the baby shower guess will be your new best friends when you host this sweet baby shower theme! Candy, treats, and sweets galore! Alphabet/Schoolhouse Themed – this fun alphabet themed shower would be a great one for pretty much any mom to be but especially a teacher! You could even do this alphabet scavenger hunt in purses if you need fun baby shower games. Donut themed party – donuts are a great way to celebrate a baby sprinkle (aka any baby shower after the first) and these donut themed parties are perfect for that!
